Atomic Force Microscopy: Advanced Topographical and Mechanical Characterization

White lab - Material Research Centre organized the workshop entitled “Atomic Force Microscopy: Advanced Topographical and Mechanical Characterization” on 24th April 2020. The workshop was conducted online as well as offline mode. This workshop was attended by 96 participants including Postgraduates, Ph. D students, faculty members from across the Country. 

Dr.Sathish Kumar Ramachandran introduced the speaker to the participants and the lecture was proceeded over by Dr. Swati Jha, Application Specialist, Anton Paar India Ltd. She delivered the lecture on basics and application of STEP 700 Anton Paar system which is installed in our college.  In her lecture, she explained the application of AFM, Micro Combi Tester: MCT³, Ultra nanoindentation tester: UNHT³ in dentistry.  In addition, she presented many interesting data from her own research and cited other exciting literature on application of AFM in Dentistry.

This workshop had provided the insights on applications of STEP 700 Anton Paar system to the participants. Dr. Jayalakshmi Somasundaram concluded the session by felicitating the guest speaker with a special thanks note to the institute management and participants.
